Andrea Schumacher Interiors had the honor of being selected to take part in the 5th Annual Kips Bay Decorator Show House in Palm Beach. Awarded the powder bath and powder foyer, “Flutter,” is a tribute to Palm Beach’s lively landscape.
The space is engulfed in a sea of blues that mimic the coastal landscape, while the walls and ceiling are adorned in wallpaper from Andrea’s own product line, Liesl, offering a sense of whimsy. Schumacher isn’t afraid to mix patterns, textures, and materials, as evidenced by the various items used throughout the space.
The interior has a Moroccan feel thanks to the Arpell Azul WJ mosaic from Artistic Tile, which was used for the flooring and niche tile. The room is designed to look like a jewel box, and the centerpiece is a unique vanity made from an old console with elaborate ornamentation.
